Ask 5 simple, but powerful questions!
How might you get students to add weight, depth, and complexity to a discussion?
Ask 5 simple, but powerful questions!
"What do you think?"
Start with the most simple question.
"Why do you think that?"
Push students to offer reasons for their answers.
"How do you know this?"
Encourage connections to other ideas, experiences, and classes.
"Can you tell me more?"
Challenge students to expand their thinking and share more evidence for their ideas.
"What questions do you still have?"
Encourage curiosity; get students used to asking questions.
